![]() For the Grand Slams and some of the Masters Series tournaments we run special predictions competitions. Once the draw is released, entrants have to attempt to predict the winners of every single match from rd1 right through to the final, before the first round matches start. Over 600 people from around 60 countries have taken part in these contests so far and the 2008 Roland Garros pick 'em involved 340 entrants - many thanks to all of you who help to make these events so much fun! Health warning: These comps have been know to make otherwise sane people say things like "I wake up thinking about it", "I had Del Potro to win that - not retire - I dont care how much he hurts - make him go back on and win!" and to make people take an interest in matches they might not otherwise have noticed! BATTLE OF THE BOARDS: Teams LEAGUE (+ M/F, etc) Teams KNOCKOUT INDIVIDUAL results: ALL from 1st to 409th sorted by team EVERYBODY'S PICKS with win/loss shading: team codes AM -> CC team codes GR -> RF team codes RG -> VB PICKS % ANALYSIS HALL OF FAME - results of all pick 'em competitions - Individual and Team To be kept informed about future pick 'em contests if not already on the mailing list, please email us The points system (new for 2008) is like this: 1 (one) point for each correct prediction in the first round 2 (two) points for each correct prediction in the second round 3 (three) points for each correct prediction in the third round * 4 (four) points for each correct prediction in the quarterfinal round * 5 (five) points for each correct prediction in the semi-final round * 6 (six) points for each correct prediction in the final round 0 (zero) points for each incorrect pick or segment left blank * For 96- or 128-player draws, it is 4 pts for R4 and QF to Final points are one more than the above ![]() We also run a daily predictions competition in a betting style format using online odds and virtual AM (Andy Murray) currency ! Each player starts off with 200 AM and places certain amounts of this each day on selected matches from the current ATP tournament. Anyone can join in this competition at any time, it's totally free and the winner for the current season will be the person with the most AM by the end of Wimbledon 2007. The winner will be sent a program from the 2006 Aberdeen Cup, signed by Andy Murray and Greg Rusedski. To join in, go to this section and make a post in the sign-up thread to let the organisers know that you wish to take part. |
